Swedish AI startup Lovable becomes unicorn with $200m series A
Stockholm-based AI startup Lovable becomes Europe’s newest unicorn after raising US$200 million in a series A funding round, reaching a valuation at US$1.8 billion.
This funding comes eight months after the company launched its platform, which allows users to create websites and apps using natural language inputs.
Lovable reports having over 2.3 million active users, with 180,000 paying subscribers contributing to an annual recurring revenue of US$75 million within seven months.
The platform has been used to create 10 million projects, primarily by non-technical users who develop prototypes for collaboration with developers.
The funding round included participation from existing investors such as 20VC, byFounders, Creandum, Hummingbird, and Visionaries Club.
Notable angel investors included Klarna CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski and Slack co-founder Stewart Butterfield.
