Sumitomo backs Israeli AI startup Alta in $25m funding round
Alta, an Israeli startup that builds an AI platform for marketing, sales, and business development teams, has raised US$25 million in a series A round led by IN Venture, the investment arm of Sumitomo Corporation.
Other investors included Mindset Ventures, Skywell Capital, Leumitech77, and existing backers Entrée Capital, Target Global, and Verissimo Ventures.
Founded in 2023 by Stav Levi-Neumark, Tom Hoffen, and Mor Shabtai, Alta said the new round brings its total funding to US$32 million, following a US$7 million seed round.
Levi-Neumark and Hoffen are former monday.com employees.
Alta said its platform uses AI agents to find prospects, qualify leads, and book meetings.
It also automates prospecting, outreach, AI-powered calls, and inbound lead qualification for sales and marketing teams.
The company said it has more than 300 customers, including Snowflake, Deel, and Atlassian, and 55 employees across Israel and the US.
Alta also said Sumitomo Corporation’s network could help it expand into Japan and Southeast Asia.
Alta is entering a market for AI sales tools that book meetings and run outbound campaigns with autonomous agents.
