Stripe has acquired stablecoin platform Bridge for US$1.1 billion, marking its largest acquisition to date.

TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington categorized this deal among the largest in the crypto sector.

Bridge specializes in software that facilitates stablecoin payments.

The company, founded by Sean Yu and Zach Abrams, previously raised US$58 million in funding and had a valuation of US$200 million.

Stripe, currently valued at US$70 billion, recently enabled crypto payments for US businesses.

This reintroduction includes using USD Coin (USDC) on blockchain platforms like Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon.

Additionally, Stripe partnered with Coinbase in June, integrating Coinbase’s Base Layer 2 network to enable crypto transactions via Coinbase Wallet.
