Strategy bought 10,624 bitcoins for US$962.7 million last week, averaging US$90,600 per coin.

The firm funded the purchase by selling US$928.1 million in common stock and US$34.9 million in preferred stock.

It now holds 660,624 bitcoins, acquired at an average of US$74,700 each, for a total investment of US$49.4 billion.

Bitcoin traded up 3% at US$94,000 in the past 24 hours.

Strategy’s stock rose 2.1% to US$182.74 in premarket trading, though it remains down over 50% in the past six months.

The company has continued smaller bitcoin buys nearly every week, but this marks a return to larger purchases after recent capital raises.
