Stellantis to invest $10b in US for turnaround push: report

Stellantis plans to invest about US$10 billion in the US, Bloomberg reported.

The automaker may soon announce around US$5 billion in new funding, adding to a similar amount committed earlier this year.

The investment could support plant reopenings, hiring, and new model launches in Illinois and Michigan, though talks remain ongoing.

New CEO Antonio Filosa is redirecting investments after Stellantis lost market share in the US and Europe and shifted production to lower-cost countries.

The company also faces pressure from potential US tariffs on Mexico-made vehicles and weak demand that has halted several European plants.
