Starlink may launch in South Korea by April: sources

SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service may be available in South Korea by April 2025, according to industry sources.

The launch is contingent on government approval and the establishment of regulations governing local frequency usage.

The Ministry of Science and ICT plans to finalize these regulations this week, with operational approval expected by March.

Following this, the Ministry of Government Legislation and the Office for Government Policy Coordination are expected to complete necessary procedural requirements.

SpaceX has not disclosed a specific timeline for Starlink’s launch in the country.
