StanChart venture arm, Fujitsu team up on quantum computing

SC Ventures, the venture arm of Standard Chartered Bank, and Fujitsu are set to join forces on September 25, 2025 to incubate Project Quanta.

The project aims to provide a digital platform for clients to explore, develop, and integrate quantum computing and quantum-inspired applications.

Fujitsu, a Japan-based technology company, will contribute its expertise in quantum computing R&D, software and algorithm development, and superconducting quantum computers.

SC Ventures will offer its experience in venture building and insights into financial institutions.

The platform will offer a development environment, pre-built algorithms for fraud detection, risk simulations, derivative pricing, credit decision, and access to data and back-end hardware for algorithm testing.
