Spotify announced Thursday the launch of its free music and podcast service in South Korea.

Since its 2021 entry into the country, Spotify has reported over 5.8 billion monthly streams for South Korean artists.

Spotify said its advertising on the free tier captures twice the attention of those on social media platforms.
