Sports VC firm gets approval to launch first fund in Abu Dhabi
Yashaa Global Capital, a venture capital fund focused on sports, has received Financial Services Permission (FSP) from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
This approval allows the firm to launch its first fund in Abu Dhabi.
Previously known as Da One Global Ventures, the firm rebranded to Yashaa Global Capital and aims to raise US$75 million for its inaugural fund.
Capital deployment is expected to begin within 45 to 60 days, with around 30% of investments directed toward Indian startups.
The fund will focus on early to growth-stage startups in sectors like sports technology, fitness and wellness, esports, and media platforms supporting the sports industry.
Investments will range from US$1 million to US$5 million per startup, with a strong emphasis on technology and fan engagement.
The firm plans to complete its first fundraising close with commitments from family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, followed by institutional investors.
