Spanish AI startup Multiverse seeks $570m series C
Multiverse Computing, an AI software firm based in San Sebastian, Spain, said on July 27 that it is targeting up to US$570 million in a series C round at a US$1.7 billion pre-money valuation.
The company said it would use the funding to expand its AI model-compression technology for devices, private infrastructure, and data centers.
Forgepoint Capital International, BNPP Solar Impulse Venture Fund, and Bullhound Capital are co-leading the round.
It also has commitments from investors including HP Inc, Orange Ventures, Qatar Development Bank, and Santander Alternative Investments.
Founded in 2019, Multiverse said it serves 100 customers globally, including Iberdrola, Bosch, and the Bank of Canada.
Before the round, the startup had raised about US$250 million, including a US$215 million series B announced on June 12, 2025.
In an arXiv paper, researchers reported 93% lower memory use, 70% fewer parameters, and 25% faster inference for a compressed Llama-2 7B model, with a 2% to 3% drop in accuracy.
Multiverse said CompactifAI models can run 4x to 12x faster and cut inference costs by 50% to 80%. The company is pitching the product to enterprises deploying AI on edge devices, on-premises systems, and in the cloud.
