Materials reviewed show SpaceX has signed a computing deal with Reflection AI, a US open-source AI startup, giving the company immediate access to Nvidia GB300 chips in exchange for US$150 million a month from July 1 2026, through 2029.

Payments would total about US$6.3 billion if the agreement runs to the end of its term, although either company can end the contract with 90 days’ notice after the first three months.

Reflection says it focuses on advanced open-weight AI models.

In May, it said it would support the US Department of Energy’s Genesis Mission under a memorandum of understanding to provide the foundational AI layer for the department’s 17 national laboratories.

Nvidia says GB300 systems, available now, combine 72 Blackwell Ultra graphics processing units and 36 Grace central processing units in a rack-scale platform for AI reasoning, with better attention performance than earlier Blackwell GPUs.

By contract value, the agreement would be smaller than CoreWeave’s disclosed infrastructure contracts with OpenAI, which total about US$22.4 billion.
