South Korea’s KG Mobility unveils first electric pickup truck

Korean automaker KG Mobility has unveiled the Musso EV, the first electric pickup truck in South Korea.

The launch event occurred on Mar.5 at the company’s headquarters in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, and included executives and representatives from BYD, a Chinese battery supplier.

The Musso EV features an 80.6-kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a driving range of 400 kilometers.

It can carry up to 500 kilograms and is designed with spacious seating suitable for families.

The vehicle is available in two trim options: the Black Edge model, priced at 50.5 million won (US$34,674), and the base MX model at 48 million won (US$33,409). Both are eligible for government subsidies.
