South Korea’s semiconductor production experienced its first decline in over a year in September.

According to Statistics Korea, production fell 3% year-on-year. This contrasts sharply with the 11% growth recorded in August.

The growth in semiconductor shipments slowed significantly. Shipments rose by only 0.7% compared to a 17% increase in August.

Despite this trend, inventory levels decreased sharply. Stockpiles are down by 41.5% from the previous year.
