South Korean robotics startup Rlwrld unveils AI model
Rlwrld, a South Korea-based startup that develops robotics, unveiled RLDX-1 in Seoul on June 10.
It also showed a humanoid robot using a five-finger hand to pick up a wireless mouse and place it in a box.
The company said it will focus on bringing the product to market this year.
Rlwrld said RLDX-1 combines vision, language, torque, tactile feedback, and task memory in one model.
It also works with different robot hardware, rather than only specific models.
The startup has 60 billion won (US$39 million) in cumulative seed funding. A March 2026 release said it was backed by $41 million from strategic investors including SK, LG, KDDI, and ANA.
Rlwrld also said it is piloting with industry partners.
Some collaborations from pilot projects to joint deployment, though it has not named customers or factory partners.
The launch comes as South Korea’s manufacturing sector is expected to need 300,000 more workers by 2030.
