South Korean police have arrested 215 people linked to a cryptocurrency scam worth 320 billion won (US$228.4 million).

The Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police announced Wednesday that these individuals include the alleged leader of the syndicate which promised large returns to approximately 15,000 investors.

Authorities revealed that the syndicate launched 28 virtual tokens, promoting six on international crypto exchanges.
