The company identified AI threats, advanced ransomware tactics, and increased attacks on cryptocurrency markets as significant concerns.

Lee Ho-seok, a security expert with SK Shieldus, expressed worry over backdoor attacks involving deepfake technology. Such attacks could allow unauthorized access to systems.

According to a Verizon report, there were 2,130 cyberattacks in the Asia-Pacific region this year.

In September, SK Shieldus entered a strategic partnership with Verizon to boost its global cybersecurity capabilities.
