South Korean AI chip startup Rebellions eyes 2027 IPO

South Korean AI chip startup Rebellions is targeting an initial public offering in South Korea in the first or second quarter of 2027.

CEO Park Sung-hyun said the company is leaning toward a KOSPI listing over KOSDAQ and is also discussing US listing options with the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.

The plan follows Rebellions’ merger with Sapeon, completed in December 2024, which valued the combined company at about 1.3 trillion won (US$858 million).

Before the deal, Rebellions had raised more than US$225 million.

Rebellions develops AI inference chips. Its ATOM products are in mass production, with deployments in Japan, Saudi Arabia, and the US.

According to public reporting, the company generated 2.7 billion won (US$1.78 million) in revenue in 2023 and named domestic customers including SK cloud units, Kakao, and Naver.
