South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni agreed to strengthen cooperation in AI, aerospace, semiconductors, and critical minerals during a summit in Seoul on January 19.

The leaders signed three memorandums of understanding covering private-sector collaboration in semiconductors.

Lee emphasized expanding bilateral ties in science, technology, and global issues like climate change, while Meloni highlighted potential cooperation in critical-mineral supply chains and infrastructure.
