South Korea to build the world’s largest AI data center

Construction of what is expected to be the world’s largest AI data center by capacity will begin in South Korea in winter 2025.

This follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between Fir Hills Inc., a subsidiary of Stock Farm Road, Inc. (SFR), and the Jeollanam-do Provincial Government, with completion anticipated in 2028.

The project’s initial cost is estimated at US$10 billion but could rise to as much as US$35 billion.

Planned with a capacity of 3 gigawatts, the center will create over 10,000 jobs in energy storage, renewable energy, and research and development.

It is also expected to serve millions of users, including major corporations and technology developers.
