SolarEdge, a renewable energy company, is set to implement a fourth round of layoffs since January 2024, under CEO Shuki Nir.

The company is facing challenges in two major markets. In United States, rising interest rates have reduced demand for residential solar installations, while in Europe, surplus inventory from the Russia-Ukraine conflict is weighing down operations.

In 2024, SolarEdge has already cut its workforce multiple times.

In January, 16% of its employees were laid off, totaling 900 workers.

A second round in July affected 400 employees, and a third round in November resulted in 500 layoffs and the closure of its South Korean division.
