Solana co-founder faces lawsuit from ex-wife over crypto

Stephen Akridge, co-founder of the Solana blockchain, is embroiled in a legal dispute with his ex-wife, Elisa Rossi, who alleges he unlawfully accessed her digital wallet to acquire income from her Solana holdings.

The lawsuit, filed in San Francisco Superior Court, claims Akridge used his blockchain expertise to obtain staking rewards from Rossi’s accounts between March and May 2023.

While the exact value of the funds is undisclosed, Rossi has requested some parts of the complaint remain confidential, citing “significant sums.”

Akridge, formerly Solana’s principal engineer and now CEO of Cyber Grant Inc., reportedly collected all commissions generated by Rossi’s SOL tokens.

This lawsuit follows the couple’s divorce in February 2023. Rossi seeks damages for breach of contract, fraud, and unjust enrichment, with the case registered as Rossi v. Akridge in California’s San Francisco County.
