SoftBank Corp. and Yaskawa Electric, a Japan-based industrial robot maker, said on July 13 they had demonstrated a deformable object manipulation system using SoftBank’s “AI Data Center Graphics Processing Unit Cloud” in collaboration with Nvidia.

The companies said the platform covers robot motion data collection, AI training, evaluation, and deployment on physical robots. They described it as a physical AI development platform.
