Shanghai-based Keenon Robotics is rolling out humanoid robots in phases, focusing on simple and repetitive tasks instead of building all-purpose models.

Founded in 2010, Softbank-backed company is a leading manufacturer of commercial service robots.

IDC reported Keenon held nearly 23% of the global shipment market share in 2024.

Keenon has sold over 100,000 units worldwide and expects a 50% sales increase this year. Its current robots handle delivery, cleaning, and disinfection.

At the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, the company showcased bipedal robots, XMAN-F1, performing tasks like scooping popcorn and pouring cocktails.

CEO Li Tong said that Keenon aims to evolve its humanoid robots gradually, from doing single tasks to handling more complex functions over time.
