Snapchat CEO, Evan Spiegel, said during the fourth-quarter earnings call that TikTok’s uncertain future has positively impacted the company.

He mentioned that the period when TikTok was briefly offline saw a temporary lift in engagement, and the overall environment of uncertainty has benefited Snap’s business.

One key feature attracting users to Snapchat is Spotlight, its alternative to TikTok, which has seen a 40% increase in creators posting content year-over-year.

Snapchat’s public content also grew significantly, with Spiegel noting the platform reached a billion public posts per month in Q4, marking strong ecosystem growth.

In Q4, Snapchat reported 453 million daily active users, up by 39 million.

It generated US$1.55 billion in revenue, a significant increase from the previous year.
