SmartHR secures $96m investment from General Atlantic
General Atlantic has made a US$96 million strategic minority investment in SmartHR, a cloud-based HR management platform in Japan.
The investment was made by acquiring shares from Coral Capital, which will remain a minority shareholder.

General Atlantic, an investment firm, said this is its first growth equity investment in Japan.
The company has previously backed HR software firms such as ATOSS Software, Gusto, Hibob, PayFit, and Staffbase.
SmartHR’s platform is used by businesses to digitize employee records, manage payroll, and support compliance with government reporting.
