SK Telecom, Nvidia team up on South Korea AI model
SK Telecom said that it is working with Nvidia on A.X K2 under a government project for local AI foundation models.
The partners began working together in 2021, when SK Telecom built its Titan supercomputer with Nvidia A100 GPUs.
Last year, they used the Nvidia NeMo dataset to train A.X K1, which SK Telecom said has 519 billion parameters.
SK Telecom said A.X K2 will also use Nvidia tools and that the companies plan joint research on multimodal and vision language models.
