SK Telecom will invest US$14.8 million in TimeTree, a Japanese company that operates a calendar-sharing app.

The agreement was signed in Tokyo on September 5.

SK Telecom, South Korea’s largest mobile carrier, will apply its AI agent technology to TimeTree for the first time outside its home market.

The company said it aims to expand its AI offerings in Japan and use the country as a regional base for further growth.

TimeTree was founded in 2014 and reports 67 million users globally.
