SK hynix sees strong interest in planned US listing: sources

SK hynix has received “tremendously positive” feedback from investors on a proposed US listing, a source familiar with the matter said on June 4.

The filling is currently under review by the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company said it plans to issue American depositary receipts (ADRs) by 2026, though the size and timing remain undecided. The confidential filing could raise as much as US$14 billion.

The source also said SK Hynix expects favorable pricing for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips used in AI chipsets to continue into next year.

Discussions with customers are ongoing.

That outlook matters because SK Hynix was estimated to hold 53%-57% of the HBM market in 2025, making it the leading supplier.

The source added that future AI-related demand could tighten memory supply from 2027, prompting SK hynix to adjust its investment plans.
