RE:AI, the sovereign AI cloud business of Singapore-based telecom and digital infrastructure company Singtel Digital InfraCo, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Singapore Institute of Technology on October 8.

The partnership aims to help enterprises and government agencies develop purpose-built AI solutions and deploy them.

Participants in Digital InfraCo’s Centre of Excellence for Applied AI with Nvidia will work with SIT students and researchers from the SIT x Nvidia AI Technology Centre and the Nvidia AI Technology Centre.

RE:AI will also host an AI testbed at SIT’s campus in Punggol Digital District, using Nvidia graphics processing unit infrastructure and AI tools.

Singtel said SNAIC opened in October 2025 and highlighted the center’s work with SMRT on the GENESIS and AiDiSA projects. The center’s projects page lists its applied AI initiatives.

The agreement builds on Singtel’s push to bring sovereign AI to Southeast Asia.

Sovereign AI extends beyond data residency to include jurisdictional control over infrastructure, data, and AI models.
