Singapore’s Digital Edge raises $1.6b for cloud expansion

Digital Edge, a Singapore-based data center operator, has raised over US$1.6 billion through equity and debt financing.

The company will use the funds to expand its operations in response to increasing demand for cloud and AI services in Asia.

The financing package consists of US$640 million in equity investments from various investors and US$1 billion in debt financing, as said by the company.

Digital Edge is part of the US-based investment firm Stonepeak’s portfolio, which specializes in infrastructure and real assets and manages approximately US$70 billion in assets.
