Singapore’s digital economy hits $113b: report
Singapore’s digital economy made up 19.3% of gross domestic product, or S$144.1 billion (US$113 billion), in 2025, according to the Infocomm Media Development Authority’s 2026 Singapore’s Digital Economy report.
The report said tech employment reached 222,200 in 2025, with monthly wages 60% above the national median. AI, data, and cybersecurity were the fastest-growing job categories.
Among small and medium-sized enterprises, AI adoption rose to 23.4%. In 2025, 12.1% of firms said they planned to adopt AI within 12 months.
In 2026, 86% of workers said they used AI at work. About 68% said they needed to upskill or reskill in AI, but 37% attended AI-related training in the past 12 months.
IMDA is expanding its TechSkills Accelerator programme under the National AI Impact Programme, working with industry and training partners to upskill 40,000 tech professionals over three years and 100,000 non-tech professionals over the next few years.
