At ATxSummit 2026 in Singapore, IMDA said it will launch a physical AI test bed later this year in Punggol Digital District.

IMDA, JTC and SIT will work with Certis, DHL, Grab and QuikBot to co-design PDD testbed conditions for commercially viable robotics services.

The test bed will cover food and parcel delivery plus cleaning and security patrols in public areas.

SIT’s Centre for Intelligent Robotics will support industry collaborations including joint labs with Unitree, Slamtec and QuikBot, while IMDA is also collaborating with knowledge partners FieldAI and Thoughtworks on embodied AI use cases.

Nvidia will also open a Singapore AI research lab focused on embodied AI and efficient computing.

IMDA separately updated its Model AI Governance Framework for agentic AI and released an AI agents whitepaper with Google, CSA, and GovTech.
