Singapore health AI startup Genie Health raises $3m seed
Singapore-based AI health startup Genie Health, which builds consumer and clinic tools for health data, has raised US$3 million in seed funding.
The round was led by the Nadathur Family Office, with participation from Liminal, a Temasek-backed founders’ studio, and two healthcare investors.
The company said the funding will expand its consumer app and clinic software, improve its AI capabilities, and grow its product, engineering, and healthcare teams in Singapore.
Anand Nadathur, principal of the Nadathur Family Office, will join Genie Health’s board.
Genie Health’s free app stores users’ health records and offers personalized guidance. Its SmartCare software helps clinics manage patient outreach and follow-up bookings.
In Singapore, software used for medical purposes can fall under medical device rules, and the Ministry of Health is developing approaches for AI and digital health regulation.
Health data handling is also governed by the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and healthcare-specific guidance on how providers should manage data and handle records.
