Singapore data center firm Zerra DC targets 2GW+ capacity

Singapore-based Zerra DC, a data center developer, said on October 6 that it had secured an investment from Macquarie Capital to expand its hyperscale platform across Asia-Pacific. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal builds on Macquarie Capital’s existing relationship with Zerra at Western Downs Digital Park in Queensland. Zerra said it will develop and operate the campus, while Macquarie Capital will participate as a consortium partner, and as project and financial adviser.

Zerra said its development pipeline includes more than 2 gigawatts of planned information technology capacity across Australia, Japan, and India.

Separately, Macquarie Asset Management previously backed AirTrunk’s hyperscale growth across Asia-Pacific.
