Singapore AR startup raises $1.16m for tourism in MENA

BuzzAR, a Singapore-based augmented reality (AR) and AI startup, has obtained US$1.16 million from the HSBC New Economy Fund.

This financing is intended for the company’s growth into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), particularly Saudi Arabia, where it has partnered with the tourism department.

In 2022, BuzzAR began targeting the MENA region, recognizing its tourism potential.

The AI platform seeks to aid the country’s hospitality sector by tackling the shortage of tour guides.
