Singapore AI keyboard startup Acti raises $5.3m
Acti, a Singapore-based startup building an AI keyboard for smartphones, said on June 30 that it raised $5.3 million in seed funding led by BITKRAFT Ventures.
The company said it would use the money to hire engineers, improve its on-device AI, and expand its Skill ecosystem and developer community.
The company said its keyboard lets users trigger programmable “Skill Keys” by long-pressing letters to run multi-step tasks such as translating text, inserting meeting links, or pulling information without leaving the app.
Acti has launched on iOS and Android.
The startup said early-access users created more than 1,000 Skills in under two weeks. Acti also said CEO Young Wang spent nearly a decade at Baidu International, where he helped grow Facemoji Keyboard to more than 300 million daily active users.
