Siemens CEO Roland Busch has urged Germany to leverage its industrial data to maximize the potential of AI technologies.

In a Bloomberg TV interview on July 21, 2025, Busch pointed out that the data generated by the country’s industrial companies is a vital resource for innovation.

“This is one of the most industrialized economies in the world,” said Busch.

He noted the data produced by both small and medium-sized enterprises and large corporations from their manufacturing and engineering processes.

Siemens is integrating AI into its manufacturing systems to enhance efficiency.

The company has partnered with Nvidia for AI applications and has recently acquired software firms Altair Engineering and Dotmatics to bolster its technological capabilities.

Busch also highlighted the necessity for regulatory reforms in Europe to improve competitiveness against US software firms.

His comments were made during a joint interview with Deutsche Bank CEO Christian Sewing.
