Shopee Korea partners Hyundai Glovis on K-beauty exports
Hyundai Glovis, a South Korean logistics firm, signed a logistics agreement with Shopee Korea to manage export logistics for South Korean cosmetics sellers entering overseas online markets, starting with Southeast Asia.
The service began this month and includes pickup, air and sea shipping, customs clearance, local permits, warehousing, and final delivery.
Hyundai Glovis said the partnership aims to reduce delays caused by using multiple logistics providers across the export process.
The companies plan to expand the service to Central and South America.
The deal adds to Hyundai Glovis’ existing capabilities in handling import and export cargo through global logistics networks and operating an airport logistics center in Incheon.
Cosmetics sellers shipping across borders in Southeast Asia also face country-specific rules.
In Indonesia, cosmetics products must complete product notification before sale, which helps explain the appeal of a bundled logistics and permitting service.
