Shopee, Sea Ltd’s ecommerce platform, launched ShopeeVIP+ on September 8 in Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines, adding Netflix access to its paid membership program.

In Indonesia, the bundle starts at 40,000 rupiah (US$2.3) a month for a six-month subscription and 54,000 rupiah (US$3.1) a month for a one-month plan.

It includes Netflix’s Mobile plan, unlimited free-shipping vouchers, and daily discount vouchers.

Members can also upgrade to Netflix Basic, Standard, or Premium.

Netflix said the partnership was its first with an ecommerce platform in Southeast Asia. Shopee said the launch also supported its 9.9 Super Shopping Day campaign.

The launch comes as ecommerce platforms in the region expand membership programs.

Lazada, a Singapore-based ecommerce company, has launched a tiered membership program in six Southeast Asian markets, and Shopee already lists a Shopee VIP membership in Malaysia.
