India’s Shiprocket rises after $170m IPO, Goldman Sachs buy
Shiprocket, a Gurugram-based ecommerce enablement company, rose on August 20, a day after its market debut.
Exchange data showed Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio bought 4.02 million shares at a weighted average price of 131 rupees (US$1.4) in a bulk deal on listing day.
At 9:52 am, Shiprocket traded at 152.66 rupees (US$1.6) on the BSE, up 6.38% from its previous close of 143.5 rupees (US$1.5) after touching 156.81 rupees (US$1.6).
The company’s 16.2 billion rupees (US$169 million) initial public offering was subscribed 99.38 times.
Its shares listed at 131 rupees (US$1.4) on the National Stock Exchange and 129.5 rupees (US$1.4) on the BSE on 19 August.
Shiprocket is backed by Temasek, and its debut implied a valuation of about US$1 billion.
For FY26, Shiprocket reported revenue from operations of 20.2 billion rupees (US$212 million), up 24% from 16.3 billion rupees (US$171 million) a year earlier.
Net loss widened marginally to 792.5 million rupees (US$8.28 million) from 744.5 million rupees (US$7.78 million).
The company has earmarked fresh issue proceeds for marketing, technology, and debt repayment.
