Shipping company CMA CGM has entered a €100 million (US$109 million) partnership with tech startup Mistral AI.

This collaboration aims to enhance customer service in shipping, logistics, and fact-checking in CMA CGM’s French media businesses.

The five-year partnership was announced on Apr. 6, 2025, coinciding with CMA CGM’s increase in AI-related investments to €500 million (US$546.4 million).

CMA CGM Chairman and CEO Rodolphe Saade did not specify financial targets but indicated that improvements could be implemented within six to 12 months.

This partnership reflects a trend of French firms collaborating on AI development amid ongoing global trade tensions.
