Shenzhen introduces $630m policy to boost AI, robotics

Shenzhen, China, will introduce a policy package valued at 4.5 billion yuan (US$630 million) to advance its AI and robotics industries, according to the city’s AI industry department.

The measures aim to provide financial support and incentives for innovation within the sector.

Businesses will receive subsidies covering up to 60% of their costs, with a limit of 10 million yuan (US$1.38 million) in computing power vouchers.

Additional support will include model vouchers, corpus vouchers, and scene-based subsidies designed to encourage AI and robotics development.
