Shein relaunches in India after nearly 5-year ban
Chinese fast-fashion retailer Shein has re-entered the Indian market in collaboration with Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Retail, nearly five years after facing a ban due to diplomatic tensions.
The relaunch involves the Shein India Fast Fashion app, developed and operated by Reliance Retail.
Under the partnership, Reliance controls the platform, managing operations and customer data.
Shein acts solely as a technology partner, with all customer data required to be stored in India, limiting Shein’s access.
