Shailendra Singh, managing director of Peak XV Partners, hailed the current “funding winter” as a positive force in cutting bad habits from the tech ecosystem, during a speech at this year’s Tech in Asia Conference. Singh said a lack of easy outside capital forces startups to focus on productivity and longevity rather than chasing unicorn status.
