SGX starts CEO search as Loh Boon Chye plans 2027 exit

Singapore Exchange (SGX), the Singapore-based securities and derivatives exchange operator, has started looking for a new chief executive after Loh Boon Chye said at its annual general meeting in Singapore on October 23 that he plans to step down in 2027.

He will work with chairman Koh Boon Hwee to find his successor.

No transition date has been set, and Loh’s contract runs until mid-July 2027.

SGX reported record results for the year ended June 30, 2026, with revenue of S$1.5 billion (US$1.17 billion) and adjusted net profit of S$759.5 million (US$595 million).

The exchange offers derivatives as a distinct business line.

SGX’s corporate governance framework sets out board and committee roles.
