SG’s MetaComp partners with stablecoin platform Stable
MetaComp, a Singapore-based payment institution and digital payment token service provider licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, has formed a partnership with Stable, a Bogota-headquartered blockchain platform focused on stablecoin transactions and cross-border payments.
The collaboration will see MetaComp integrate Stable’s StableChain network into its StableX Network, aiming to support digital asset settlements across regions, including Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and South America.
MetaComp said its compliance and risk management system, VisionX Engine, will work with Stable’s monitoring infrastructure to bolster anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing controls.
The partnership also plans to allow users to convert between USDT0 and XAUt0 tokens on StableChain, with MetaComp’s affiliated firm, Alpha Ladder Finance, providing related wealth management services.
Both companies said they will cooperate to promote the use of these tokenized assets for payments and institutional liquidity management.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Fiat on/off-ramp providers face near-term opportunity in underserved African and Middle Eastern markets
- If MetaComp routes stablecoin settlements through Africa and the Middle East as planned, demand for local currency conversion should jump, which gives fiat on/off-ramp providers (companies that convert between crypto and government money) near-term volume.
- South Asia offers a playbook, with crypto transaction volume up 80% year over year to $300 billion and India ranking first in crypto adoption 2.
- New entrants can build fiat rails (banking and payment connections) and treasury application programming interfaces (APIs) for automated payouts, add liquidity pools (capital set aside for instant swaps) in African and Middle Eastern routes, then win share before larger players arrive.
- Execution starts with mapping countries that lack strong USD to local rails, then prioritizing those with clearer rules for digital asset services.
