SG-based Pomelo Group acquires fintech Arrow Checkout

Pomelo Group, a payments platform based in Singapore, has acquired Arrow Checkout, a fintech company also located in Singapore.

Arrow Checkout, which specializes in ecommerce and checkout payments technology, was launched in 2021. The company was founded by former executives from Grab and Tencent and has received backing from Y Combinator, Peak XV Partners, and Meta.

Following the acquisition, key members of Arrow Checkout’s leadership team will join Pomelo Group.

Neo Liat Beng has been appointed as chief product officer, while Sebastian Roervig will serve as VP of sales and business development. Sudhan Raj will also contribute to Pomelo’s engineering efforts.

Founded in 2017, Pomelo Group operates from Singapore and London, serving financial institutions in Southeast Asia.
