Ropedia, a Singapore-founded startup building data infrastructure for physical AI, launched an academic partner program that gives researchers and institutions access to its HOMIE Gen2 platform to capture real-world multimodal data for robotics, embodied intelligence, and physical AI research.

Ropedia said HOMIE Gen2 is designed to help scale real-world data collection for physical AI.

Nanyang Technological University Singapore was among the first academic institutions to trial the platform, and researchers from its College of Computing and Data Science continue to use it to collect data and train embodied AI models.

Ropedia has raised US$30 million to expand its physical AI data infrastructure.

The launch comes as Singapore moves to research, test, and deploy physical AI, and build a robotics and physical AI testbed in Punggol Digital District.
