SG startup K25.ai secures $6m commitment from NewGen

Singapore-based K25.ai said on June 4 that Nasdaq-listed NewGenIVF Group Limited committed an additional US$4 million.

The investment brings NewGen’s total investment to US$6 million and value K25.ai at an implied US$100 million.

Andy Cheung, K25.ai’s founder and chief executive, and two other co-founders are expected to join NewGen’s board as non-executive directors. Cheung is also expected to lead NewGen’s digital asset treasury strategy.

The new funding follows a May announcement that K25.ai had secured an initial US$2 million pre-series A strategic investment from NewGen, which also held an option to raise its total commitment to as much as US$10 million.

NewGen, a Bangkok-based fertility services provider, operates in Thailand, Cambodia, Hong Kong, and Kyrgyzstan.

K25.ai said it is preparing for launch and has more than 35,000 users on its waitlist.
