SG regtech firm Tookitaki names new CEO as it expands in APAC
Tookitaki, a Singapore-based financial crime technology company, said on September 30 that president Isabel Ridad became CEO, while founder Abhishek Chatterjee became executive chairman and chair of the board, as the firm expands across Asia Pacific.
Ridad will take full executive and operational responsibility for Tookitaki.
Chatterjee will focus on overall direction, AI strategy, board management, and relationships with clients and regulators.
The company describes itself as an anti-money laundering and fraud prevention platform for financial institutions in Asia Pacific.
It said it works with more than 30 financial institutions in the region.
Tookitaki said its technology has monitored more than 100 billion transactions and 200 million customer accounts.
It plans to expand further in Asia Pacific through 2027, including by entering at least one new market.
The firm also received an investment from True Global Ventures in October 2024.
The leadership change comes as jurisdictions in Asia Pacific tighten anti-money laundering rules and Financial Action Task Force-linked regional reviews push stronger enforcement.
